Diamond in the Sky
When we asked which Malcolm Saville title we should publish next, the clear message came that we should publish the Buckinghams series, but that we should start with the really rare final title, Diamond in the Sky. So that is what we are doing.
The first title in the Buckinghams series, The Master of Maryknoll, was published in 1950. This was followed by The Buckinghams at Ravenswyke (1952), The Long Passage (1954) then a gap of nine years before A Palace for the Buckinghams (1963) and then two titles in the 1970s – The Secret of the Villa Rosa (1971) and Diamond in the Sky (1974).
Diamond in the Sky is set in the city of Amsterdam and features international diamond smuggling. James Buckingham (who we learn, after so long a time, is a writer of thrillers) has had two books successfully translated into Dutch, and is invited, with his whole family, with his Publisher, Pieter van der Straat, to do publicity and research a new book, set in Amsterdam. A dramatic and intensely exciting story in which Juliet and Charles strengthen their romantic relationship and Simon, once again, helps to confound their enemies and proves his courage and loyalty to his family.
There will be two introductory articles.
Diamond in the Sky will be published in April / May 2025.
